Bangladesh Air Force publishes various audio-visuals to highlight the force’s activities. This video is the latest one, in which almost all of the aircrafts of the Bangladesh Air Force has been shown.

Bangladesh Air Force has a missile inventory mainly consists of air-to-air missile (AAMs) systems. Most of these AAMs was bought along with the fighter jets BAF bought. The origins of those missiles are Russia and China as Bangladesh operating only Chinese & Russian combat aircrafts.  Here we showed some available figure of those missile inventory currently Bangladesh Air Force deployed in the line of active duty. There’s no price for peace other than maintaining it. Bangladesh is a peace loving country and always work to uphold the stability of the region.  All Bangladesh’s weaponry are defensive. There are no any industrial facility to produce such high tech defense equipment in country. Hence Bangladesh relied on foreign sources to acquire air-to-air missile systems. Bangladesh Air Force bought Yak-130 advanced jet trainer cum light attack aircraft, though it was several times crashed during development! And, even, just after induction there was a fatal accident of this trainer plane. This is the latest Russian trainer plane that enter in service after the fall of Soviet Union.  So, why Bangladesh bought it? Bangladesh Air Force bought Yak-130 fighter trainer aircraft to train their pilots for 4.5th generation and fifth generation fighter jets. It is also can be armed to fight low-intensity aerial & ground threats. Hence BAF choose it as a cost-effective solution.  Other options like South Korean KAI T-50, Chinese Hongdu L-15 and Italian Leonardo M-346 are the analogous of the Yak-130. Among these, Leonardo M-346 is the Italian variant of the Yakovlev-130. And, Italy can’t sell their variant to non-NATO countries as the agreement bares them. A Bangladesh Air Force Mi-171 VIP transport helicopter has been crash landed with Chief of Staff Kuwait Armed Forces Lt. General Mohammed Khaled Al Khader. This incident was happened in the Shrimangal, Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh. 16 passengers including half a dozen Kuwaiti military high officials was onboard the helicopter. Pilot of the BAF Mi-171 helicopter landed the helicopter from the exact landing point due to thick fog and adverse weather conditions. He, then tried his best to land the chopper in safer position. And by his acts all passenger was able to safely evacuated from the crash landed helicopter. After the incident Chief of Staff Mohammed Al Khader said to media that he is amazed by the skills of the Bangladesh Air Force pilot. Bangladesh Air Force issued request-for-proposal to purchase Medium-Altitude Long-Range (MALE) unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Earlier it was believed that BAF will buy Turkish Aerospace Industries made Anka-S UCAV. But new RFP showed up and the procurement has been opened for all parties interested to supply UAV to Bangladesh Air Force. Technological advancement is the key purpose of inducting military drones into BAF services.  There are various options, mainly from China & Turkey, for armed drones for Bangladesh. Turkey has TAI Anka-S special ISR & combat UAS and Baykar Makina developed Bayraktar TB2Tactical UAV which is missile armed drone. On the other hand, China has much more options. AVIC China has CH-4 & CH-5 armed UAVs which can perform surveillance and combat missions precisely. Bangladesh Victory Day Parade-2017 Part-1. Bangladesh Air Force arranged aerobatics & flypast of various military aircrafts at Bijoy Dobosh 2017. Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and President Abdul Hamid attended the ceremony at the National Parade Square. The sky over the Old Airport, Tejgaon was roared by the combat planes. Mig-29, F-7BG fighter jets along with other trainer aircrafts participated in the aerial display.

Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) to buy Turkish TAI Anka UAV.  Reportedly BAF ordered Anka-S UAS which is the Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle or UCAV version of the Turkish Aerospace Industries developed Anka ISR drone. BD Air Force forming up their unmanned aerial vehicle fleet. This fleet would comprises both surveillance & combat UAV. BAF wants a true force multiplier to augment force’s real capabilities to ensure national security in all aspect. Turkish Anka unmanned aerial systems has been designed to conduct most critical operations. Anka is manufactured with latest technology and materials.  Earlier in last November Chief Of Air Staff ACM Abu Esrar visited Turkey. To fulfill the needs of an advanced jet trainer requirement of BAF Government of Bangladesh bought 16 Russian Yakovlev built Yak-130 for the country’s air force. This year BAF also ordered 14 more Yak trainer jets. Yak-130 trainers can mimic all 4++ & 5th generation fighter jets’ cockpit. These jets can also be used as light fighter for low-intensity warfare. Besides training purposes yak advanced jet trainer can carry various types’ weapons loads for light fighter role. Bangladesh Air Force undergoing modernization program through “Forces Goal — 2030”. Due this modernization plan BAF wants at least 6 x 16 fighter jet squadrons for protection of the country’s skies. As the program started, it needs pilots shall be highly trained and skilled by extensive aerial warfare knowledge.
