Defense Update Bangladesh

Bangladesh and india has several disputes over the areas near border. Those unsolved border issues sometimes led the forces of two countries into clashes. Border Guard Bangladesh and border security force of india had engaged in various disputes over the issues in past. It was a victory for Bangladeshis. Indian Border Security Force (BSF) illegally occupied and made a camp in a piece of 230 acres of land in the Pirdyah village in Sylhet district. Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) which is now Border Guard Bangladesh, asked indian BSF to leave the area. But BSF did not leave and chose to fight. BDR then decided to fight BSF.  After a short clash BSF was been defeated and the 10 kilometer road BSF built inside Bangladeshi territory was forced to break again by the jawans of the indian border security force.

Border Guard Bangladesh runs a hospital for the force members and their families’ health services. In this specific documentary we will see how they gives their efforts to provide better health services to the respective peoples.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) is the first line of border patrolling force of Bangladesh. They’re trained and organized by Bangladesh Army. BGB Bangladesh buying two Mi-17 series helicopters from Russia.  Recently government decided to upgrade the force into a three-dimension form to surveillance properly the country’s border areas. Two are ordered and total 10 helicopters will be bought within years. For handling these aircrafts four aviation wings being established across the country. When, the first aviation wing has been raised in Baitul Ijjat, Bandarban. Construction works for 70 heli-support border observation posts are going on in the southern districts of Bandarban, Rangamati, Cox’s Bazaar and Teknaf.  Initially air Force pilots will fly them, meanwhile BGB will have their own pilots trained.
