With Italian Sensors + Russian Missiles: Bangladesh Navy Building S. Asia's MOST POWERFUL Frigate!

Bangladesh Navy going to build 6 new frigates at the Chittagong Dry Dock Ltd. Chinese Type 057 guided missile frigate design has been finalized. Although, it will be Chinese ship but it would have sub-systems from Italy. Armaments also include non-Chinese sources like Russia or Italy. Six ships will be built for the Bangladesh Navy in the next decade. For the purpose CDDL being modernized and expanded by the BD Navy with China’s help.  Six such ships will be cost almost $2.3bn for the next 10 years. Besides these heavy frigates Bangladesh going to build eight more Shadhinota-class stealth corvette derived from the Chinese Type 056 Jiangdao-class corvette, of which China Navy building around 50. In August 20 Biman Bangladesh Airlines Going to Induct First Boeing-787 Dreamliner Plane

Biman Bangladesh Airlines bought four Boeing-787-8 Dreamliner passenger jet airplanes from Boeing Inc. Each Dreamliner can carry 271 passengers. Two of the four 787-8s will be added to the Biman’s fleet this year. One in August 20 and another in September. Rest 2 will come in November, 2019.  These aircrafts definitely will boost the capacity of Bangladesh’s national flag carrier Biman’s passenger flights. Biman Dreamliner plane costs roughly $240 million Each.

An extremest hindu leader of Vissho Hindu Parishad (VHP) invites indian army to invade Bangladesh. He suggests to capture Bangladeshi lands to resettle Assamese Muslims there. This extremest VHP leader was in Gowhati, capital cityy of Assam, last week. Although, Assamese police banned his public meeting for a two-onth timeline, the extremest hindu religous organization VHP arranged the meeting ignoring Indian state order.  Political observers seeing this as a ignition of another hindu-Muslim clash in the north-eastern indian satte Assam. Indian news outlet Hindustan Times reported the news. Central government of india must take measures to stop such terrorist minded hindu leaders from igniting any religous clash between hindu and Muslims, as it can seriously harm the stability of the region. Recently Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) installed CCTV camera & solar-powered lights on the Tombru-Konabari border in the Bandarban district.  Burmese border guard police urged Bangladesh to remove those instruments from the Bangladeshi part of the border. Bangabandhu Satellite – 1 is the first of its kind in Bangladesh. Franco-Italian Thales Alenia Space designed & manufactured this geostationary communications satellite for the Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited.  The BS-1 will be located at 119.1° East longitude geostationary slot. The lifespan of the BS-1 is about 15 years. This communication satellite will carry 40 transponders – 26 Ku-band & 14 C-band. Among those 40 transponders Bangladesh will use 20 and rest 20 will be leased to other parties for revenue.  In the first week of this April the Bangabandhu Satellite – 1 will be launched from the United States’ Cape Canaveral Space Launching Facilities. One SpaceX Falcon-9 Block-5 SLV will carry the BS-1 to the slotted orbit.  Two Ground Control Station has been established, one in Gazipur and another backup GCS in Rangamati district. JEAN KAY: Man Who Hijacked Plane for Bangladesh

Jean Kay was a French citizen who acted to help Bangladeshi refugees during 1971 Independence War of Bangladesh. He then in 3rd December hijacked the Pakistan International Flight PK-712 and argued the French Government to send medicines & other reliefs goods for Bangladeshis suffering due to the war.  Pompidou administration of the then France agreed and sent those relief support for the peoples of Bangladesh, but arrested Jean Kay. After a long trial process this hero was been released of all charges on humanitarian ground in 1973. Here is the brief story of that event.

Government of Bangladesh initiated the construction of the Dhaka Bus Rapid Transport to reduce the heavy traffic jam situation in the city. Italian & Thai joint venture ItalThai Group has been awarded the construction contract.  Initial phase of the project has been started. This BRT Line -3 phase consists building of the Elevated Expressway from Gazipur to the Airport Road in Uttara.

Chinese Tianhe Mechanical Equipment Manufacturing Company Ltd. built an ultra-large underwater tunnel boring machine for Bangladesh. This tunneling machine will be used to bore the Karnaphuli River Tunnel in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Currently it is being assembled in Jiansu, China which will be shipped to the country in next May.  Government of Bangladesh awarded the contract to build the tunnel road to the China Communication Construction Company Ltd. Within the next august main boring activities will start. And completion time for the tunnel has been settled as 2022.

Myanmar Paying The Price

Myanmar Air Force ordered six Russian Su-30 fighter jets, announcement came during General Shoigu’s visit there. Along with these combat aircrafts, burmese military will also procure some more equipment from Moscow. $200 million has been allotted to buy six Su-30. As per the total price mentioned each of the Sukhoi will costs around $34 million.  But, there’s no information about the exact variant of the myanmar air force’s Su-30s. The latest variant that Bangladesh Air Force wanted to buy is the “Su-30SME” which will cost around $60 million. And, except indian air force’s Su-30MKI other variants are not in production. So, definitely Russia will export their grounded baseline Sukhoi-30 to myanmar.  Previously, Moscow exported grounded indian Su-30MKIs to the Angolan Air Force. Those were upgraded in Russia. Earlier in 2017 Beijing offered $1 billion loan to Dhaka to buy military aircrafts from China, which was made under Bangladesh Air Force fighter aircraft procurement program. It includes Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group’s J-10C multirole fighter jets for BAF. This is the latest variant of the J-10, of which Chinese air force operating 250+ units and PLANAF has 24+ jets in active services. Bangladeshi pilots are being trained in China to fly them. These J-10C fighter aircrafts will hugely boost Bangladesh Air Force’s operational capabilities to a new level. A Bangladesh Air Force Mi-171 VIP transport helicopter has been crash landed with Chief of Staff Kuwait Armed Forces Lt. General Mohammed Khaled Al Khader. This incident was happened in the Shrimangal, Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh. 16 passengers including half a dozen Kuwaiti military high officials was onboard the helicopter. Pilot of the BAF Mi-171 helicopter landed the helicopter from the exact landing point due to thick fog and adverse weather conditions. He, then tried his best to land the chopper in safer position.
