Defense Update Bangladesh

Chinese VT5 light main battle tank has been finalized by Bangladesh Army. 2 to 3 regiments will be bought in short-term acquisition process. This tank is designed and manufactured by the NORINCO, China.  As sources confirmed, Bangladesh Army will buy more light tanks from Europe too. VT5 light MBT is a very nimble, has maximum fire power and can operate in mountainous & marshy lands, jungle, riverine areas.  Weapons are a 105mm rifled-main gun, a 12.7mm & a 7.62 mm machine gun. There are a 40mm automatic grenade launcher, too, in the remotely-controlled weapons station.  Bangladesh implementing “Forces Goal -2030” modernization program to upgrade Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force. Under this upgrade process all three main armed forces will be equipped with high-tech advanced military equipment.

Bangladesh Army tasked to build 14000 makeshift shelters for the Rohingya refugees. With the help of United Nations and other aid authorities from around the world Bangladesh Government arranging the whole work. Along with the army other armed forces and paramilitary will also participate to successfully finish the job in time.  Bangladesh Army has reputation to complete such construction projects in due time with higher quality. Bangladesh Army bought 18 batteries of Chinese WS-22A guided multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) manufactured by the China Aerospace Long-March International. WS-22A MLRS is piece of massive firepower which can engage targets like military base, ground radar stations, command & communication centers, naval base, armored divisions etc.  Initially Bangladesh Army (BA) equipped its infantry divisions and in coming years every single infantry unit will equipped with such guided rocket system. Moreover, those MLRS systems will be manufactured in home by the Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF) and Bangladesh Ordinance Factory (BOF). Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave an emotional speech at United Nations general Assembly about the plight of the Rohingya Peoples facing from burmese army. Nobel laureate aung sun kiy doing nothing rather supporting her army to kill poor Rohingyas to fulfill burma’s current “ethnic cleansing” missions.  Rohingya Peoples historically lived in the Arakan Province for almost 500 years and they were moved there in the Mughal ages. Almost 600,000 Rohingyas fled to Bangladesh in the last few years to avoid killing, raping, and being torhed.  Along with myanmar army rakhines, Buddhist monks are also taking active part to torching, ransoming and killing Rohingya peoples. Bangladesh Army & BAF will purchase latest generation tanks, APCs, air defense systems, howitzer guns, advanced fighter jets, and some other military equipment soon. As economy growing slow Bangladesh also slowed the modernization processes of her Armed Forces. There in Arakan state of burma Rohingya people facing severe oppression from the burmese military. Large number of them are dead and rest are taking refuge to neighboring Bangladesh. They lost their homes and shelters.  Some of the burmese spies are also entered into Bangladesh along with those Rohingya refugees. But their fate become unlucky this time. Almost half-dozens of those burmese spies has been caught by the Border Guard Bangladesh counter intelligence wing and other security forces.  Four of them were arrested from the hilly Naikhongchori upazilla and Bandarban. They’re Anwar Hossain, Zafor Alam, Azmal Hossain and Kalu Miah. They’re all habitants of maungdaw’s Fakir Bazaar Amtoli in rakhine state.  One of them has been caught from Naikhongchori and three others are from Ghumdhum area.  Another two were caught from the Cox’s Bazaar area near Rohingya refugee camps. Burmese army torched almost 100 rohingya people villages in myanrmar. Recently anti-Rohingya operation created massive Rohingya refugee flow towards Bangladesh. Turkey sending huge aid to help Rohingya Muslim. Emergency food, medicines and other needed relief goods are coming from Turkey, Iran, Qatar, Malaysia and also from Indonesia. All Muslim countries trying to solve the Rohingya People crisis along with Bangladesh. The Rohingya peoples are the ethnicity of Bengali nation who speaks mainly a dialect of Chittagong region.
