Military officers of Myanmar has a lower salary scales. Myanmar Army officers starting salary is about 120,000 kyat. Most of the profitable businesses and wealth are in the hands of the generals. Due to long-term junta rule in Burma military officers established unabated control over country’s natural resources, businesses and other facilities.  But such phenomena normal for the generals. Mid-level and junior officers do odd things, like drug smuggling, capture of civilian businesses and so many. And this is a normal trend in Burma. While neighboring countries has implemented more modern structure within their militaries. And created the world class professionalism.

Bangladesh: 3rd S. Asian Nation Will Build Long-Range Anti-Ship Missiles Domestically!

Bangladesh Navy going to assemble land-based anti-ship missile system too. It will be first such project in the country.  Bangladesh Army also expressed strong interest to acquire the weapons system to bolster the deterrence of Bangladesh’s maritime security. BD Navy will build 6 heavy frigates which will accommodate dozens of Anti-Ship Missiles. And other smaller vessels in Navy like corvettes, LPCs are also equipped with AShMs. So, in the near future Bangladesh will deploy a significant number of such missile weapons systems. Accordingly, Bangladesh Navy decided to reduce foreign dependence for the weapon.  Assembling missiles in Bangladesh will help country’s economy, create more jobs and establish a base for the high-tech military industries.

Bangabandhu-1 satellite of Bangladesh is purely a commercial communication satellite manufactured by the Thales-Alenia Space. It was launched into the orbit by a SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket. Bangladesh Army has ten examples of U.S. made M113 armored personnel carrier. Those APCs are deployed in the U.N. Peace Keeping Missions.  Although, Bangladesh is the second biggest operator of the Russian BTR-80, some of its APCs are from other countries too. Likely, Turkish Otokar Kobra, U.S. FMC M113, Serbian MTLAB etc. Among them M113 is the legendary one. After the Vietnam War, M113 was deployed in the 95% conflicts worldwide. Bangladesh’s M113s are upgraded with most advanced sub-systems.  The number is very ignorable but it is important when those are deployed in the hot zones in the war affected African states for patrol duties by the Bangladeshi contingents. Its crew safety system is better and faster in terms of movement in the battle zones.

CONFIRMED: Mi-35M Going-To-Be the Dedicated Attack Helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force!

Bangladesh Air Force apparently finalized the candidate for the dedicated attack helicopter program. And, it will be the Russian Helicopters Mi-35M. This helicopter is a combat proven rotary wing platform and can carry 8 troops too. Initially eight examples will be delivered to the BAF. Acquiring Mi-35M helicopters will reduce maintenance burdens of the BD Air Force because there are a fleet of 35 Mi-171Sh which also has some same components as the Mi-35M. Bangladesh will use these helicopters to provide close-air-support to the ground troops.  Mi-35M can carry 8 troops or 4 stretchers on its external sling. Total payload is about 2400kgs. On its external hardpoints Mi-35M can carry various bombs, anti-tank guided missiles, multiple-ejector racks, guided-unguided rockets and submunitions/mines.  This helicopter will surely boost Bangladesh Air Force’s anti-armor warfare capability to a new height. Bangladesh Navy going to build 6 new frigates at the Chittagong Dry Dock Ltd. Chinese Type 057 guided missile frigate design has been finalized. Although, it will be Chinese ship but it would have sub-systems from Italy. Armaments also include non-Chinese sources like Russia or Italy. Six ships will be built for the Bangladesh Navy in the next decade. Bangladesh Armed Forces is the second biggest customer of the Chinese military equipment. Most of the equipment of Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Air Force and Bangladesh Navy is Chinese! Why? Evolution of The DGFI, Bangladesh's Prime Intelligence Agency!

DGFI, the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence of Bangladesh Armed Forces, is the prime counter-intelligence agency of the country. Established in 1972 & reformed in 1976 by the then President Major General Ziaur Rahman.  This agency has 12,000+ manpower mainly from the three armed forces of the country. Operating in 45 countries around the globe. DGFI has the primary tasks to collect intelligence related to the national security issues of Bangladesh. DGFI has been founded as the Directorate of Forces Intelligence (DFI) in 1972 in response to the hostile attitude of the neighboring armed forces. But it was not able to bring success because of minimum budget & lesser power. BREAKING News: Bangladesh Navy Issued A Tender To Setup Manufacturing Missile Plant!

Bangladesh Navy started the anti-ship missile assembling program. Recently the Directorate General Defence Purchase of Bangladesh Armed Forces issued a tender for the support facilities for the weapons systems plant. Initially C-704 & C-802A Anti-Ship Missiles of Chinese origin will be assembled here. After the successful launch BD Navy will go for the production of the, short-range naval surface-to-air missile systems, FL-3000N. In 2017 Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed announced about the Naval Missile Program in a ceremony. After that some evaluation process has done. It is worth to say that Chinese C-704 & C-802A surface-to-surface missile variants are combat proven weapons systems has been used in some naval conflicts.
