New RECRUIT: Thousands of Posts Has Been Created In Bangladesh Army’s 10th Infantry Division

10884 new posts has been created in the newly formed 10th Infantry Division. This new division of Bangladesh Army has been raised and established in the Ramu Cantonment in cox’s Bazar. There are 15 ranks among those 10K new posts. This is the southernmost military installation of Bangladesh. There are another cantonment being built at Patuakhali’s Lebukhali area just beside of Bangladesh Navy’s biggest under construction naval base.  All the official procedures for these new posts appointment has been done by the Government of Bangladesh by passing the bill at cabinet meeting. Western Marine Shipyard Ltd., A Bangladeshi Shipbuilder Will Build 2 LCT For Bangladesh Army

DGDP, Bangladesh ordered two LCT for Army. These contract was awarded to Western Marine Shipyard Ltd. LCTs are the vessels carry and land main battle tanks, APCs, IFVs, ACVs and many military vehicles. Bangladesh Army’s LCTs can be able to carry 200 soldiers along with 40 officers, while it’s main role of carrying MBTs are 8 in number. A deal was signed between managing director of WMS and Deputy Director Purchase (Army Wing-1) Col. Chowdhury Fazle Ali. Total program costs around 770 million BDT. These Landing Craft Tanks are 64 meter in length. Can operate in the stormy shores of Bangladesh and riverine regions too. These vessels will boost Bangladesh Army’s combat operational capabilities into a new height. In future more LCTs will be built in home. Bangladesh Army Going To Manufacture Advanced Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System In Home (Bangladesh)

Bangladesh Ordinance Factory (BOF) and Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF) jointly will assemble “Guided-Multiple Launch Rocket System” (GMLRS) for the Bangladesh Army.  Primarily medium range MLRS will be assembled under license from some Chinese manufacturer. And for this purpose army has started to negotiate with several Chinese military vehicle manufacturers for suitable launcher vehicle.  Bangladesh Armed Forces finalized a modernization plan dubbed as “Forces Goal – 2030”. Under this plan Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force started purchasing various military equipment. Bangladesh Navy (BN) buying 2 more Maritime Patrol Aircraft from German aerospace company Ruag Aviation. Currently Bangladesh operating two Dornier 228NG MPA. Navy BD wants to expand its anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities to protect country’s 1, 18,813 sq. km territorial waters in the Bay of Bengal. Maritime Patrol Aircrafts are very much effective tool to stop illegal migration, fishing, smuggling and protecting maritime environment from unwanted pollution by merchant ships. This type of plane also helps naval forces to fishermen lives during tornedo, hurricane and other natural disaster inshore and offshore. Bangladesh Navy planning to expand its submarine force by 2020. Chinese S-20/Type 041 Yuan class, German Type 214 or Type 212, Turkish Gur & Reis class submarines are the main competitors. Russia offered its Improved Kilo-class submarines to Dhaka recently. Sources confirmed that Bangladesh Noubahini planning to operate a fleet of at least five attack submarines in near future. Currently BN searching for advanced, cost effective and quieter attack submarines from various origin. Ultimately one will be selected.
